About Daisy Chain Day Nursery

We are an established nursery with an excellent reputation. We have built up a strong, well qualified staff team, who believe that every child deserves to be cared for in a safe, happy and secure environment.

The owner of the nursery is Beverley Foers.

Beverley has an early years' teaching degree and has been a teacher since 1984, before opening the nursery in 2001 she was the Reception and Foundation Stage co-ordinator for a large infant school in York.

Wendy Codona is our fully qualified and experienced Deputy Manager, who is also SENCO trained, whilst our office administration and financial affairs are in the capable hands of Charissa Jennings.

Our nursery is situated on Cinder Lane, Heworth, and is just off Malton Road, five minutes from the city centre and Monks Cross.

We are registered with Ofsted to provide full day care for 50 children between the ages of 0 and 5 years and we accept babies from the age of 3 months.

Our staffing ratios are as follows:

• Babies (3 months - 2 years) - 1 carer to 3 children
• Tweenies (2 - 3 years) - 1 carer to 4 children
• Pre-School (3 - 5 years) - 1 carer to 8 children
